Fast, affordable drone insurance.
Coverage guide ↓Coverage guide
Start with liability for injury or damage to others. Add physical damage to protect the drone itself. They cover different risks.
Coverage is subject to the policy’s terms, limits, and exclusions. Review the details before you buy.
Core coverage explained
01
Aviation liability for every drone
Third-party bodily injury and property damage — all of your drones under one policy, at the limit your client contracts ask for.
02
Worldwide and indoor coverage
Fly inside venues or on projects abroad. The territory follows you, at no extra premium.
03
Personal injury and privacy claims
Coverage for claims a camera in the sky invites — invasion of privacy included, with limits you can raise right in the calculator.
04
Additional insureds, free
Name clients and venues on your policy at no extra fee — the checkbox their vendor packets always ask for.
05
Medical expense
$500 comes standard; raise it to $5,000 for a few dollars a month.
Optional add-ons
06
Physical damage (hull)
The aircraft itself — crash, flyaway, and loss, priced by your actual rig with a 10% deductible. Add your drones in the calculator and watch it price live.
When it matters: a gust takes the rig into a cell tower mid-inspection.
07
Payload & equipment
Cameras, sensors, lidar, and ground-station gear — often worth more than the airframe carrying them. Attachable gear only; your specialist quotes it alongside the instant price.
When it matters: a hard landing cracks the $12K lidar unit, not the drone.
08
Professional liability
When the deliverable is data — maps, inspections, survey outputs — errors in it carry their own exposure. E&O your specialist can write alongside the drone policy.
When it matters: a survey map is off and the client pours a foundation on it.
09
General liability
Ask a specialist about coverage for the ground side of your business — client sites, offices, and work before takeoff. General liability and aviation policies cover different risks.
When it matters: a client trips over your ground-station cables during setup.
Drone insurance, answered.
Is the price I see final?+−
This is an estimate based on program rates, before state-specific pricing and underwriting. Review your final premium and policy terms on SkyWatch or with a Casey specialist before purchasing.
Can I buy online, or do I have to speak to someone?+−
You choose. Purchase now takes you to SkyWatch to review coverage and pay. Choose Talk to a specialist to request a callback. Neither calculating a price nor sending a request binds coverage.
Can I insure my camera, lidar, or other payload?+−
Yes — attachable cameras, sensors, and ground stations can be scheduled alongside your drones. Equipment coverage is subject to underwriting and is not included in this estimate. You can add it through SkyWatch or discuss it with a specialist.
Will my selections carry over to SkyWatch?+−
SkyWatch carries over your liability limit and drone values. Some selections need to be confirmed again, including drone count, coverage upgrades, and fleet or privacy answers. You’ll add aircraft identifiers and complete the remaining application on SkyWatch before paying.
Doesn't my business liability policy already cover my drone?+−
Almost certainly not — standard GL forms exclude aircraft of every size, and a drone is an aircraft. UAS liability is the policy that actually answers.
Do I need insurance to fly under Part 107?+−
The FAA doesn't require it — your clients do. Most commercial contracts want $1M liability and a COI before you're on site, which in practice makes coverage the ticket to paid work.
A client wants a $1M COI before I can fly. How fast can I get it?+−
Same day once you're bound, self-serve after that — with the additional-insured wording the client's vendor packet names.
